Welcome to Poker Whizkid
Hello There, and welcome to bitcoin gambling game. I made this site for players who are new to the game and new to online poker. There are so many resources available to new players nowadays that it can be overwhelming. Here at Poker WhizKid we’ve got lots of strategy articles and videos that will always be free, as well as advice on the different types of games that exist online and recommendations for which sites to play at. I’ve been around online poker since it’s early days and have played over 1 million hands of at over 40 different poker rooms, so it’s safe to say that I know the business well!
You’ve come to the right place if you want honest reviews of poker rooms both for US and Rest of World players as well as strategy to make you a winning player, and up to date news on what’s going on in the poker world.
If you’re looking for a poker room to play at, I highly recommend those in the table below. They are the BEST options for online poker players in 2014 in terms of fishy opposition, bonuses, rewards, safety and security. I keep the list updated year round.
Whiz Kid’s Recommended Online Poker Sites for 2016

| $10 | $2000 | Review | Visit | ||
Over the coming months I’m also going to be adding FREE strategy videos to help you get your game up to speed so the sharks don’t clean you out as soon as you deposit! I’ve made free poker educational videos for other websites before and they’ve gotten good feedback; in fact two of them are on page 1 of Youtube if you search for ‘online poker strategy’. See if you can guess which ones are mine! I like to play mixed games too, not just holdem so I’ll also be doing videos about games like 7 card stud and 2-7 triple draw, which you may have heard of but never played.
I won’t use that old cliche that PokerWhizKid is the ‘only resource you’ll ever need’, because it’s just not true! This site is a one-man operation and there’s not enough hours in the day for me to make it the next PokerNews while trying to play lots of poker too, but I do my best.
Choosing a Poker Site to Play At
I pride myself on knowing all of the players in the industry and I have played at over 40 poker rooms over the years (and over a million hands of poker!) to take advantage of bonuses that they offer, to qualify for certain live tournaments or just to try out some new software. A few years ago it didn’t really matter where you played because it was so easy to win, so all you had to do was pick a site with a good deposit bonus and loyalty system, software that was OK, and start printing that money! However, the games have gotten a lot tougher and now when choosing a site you have the following into account if you want to be WhizKid:
- Standard of Opposition: There’s no doubt about it, playing on sites with bad players should be your number one concern. We all love poker, but we love it partially because there’s a chance of making some easy money and playing with bad players is the best way nab some of that cheap cash. If you want to spend your days playing at PokerStars with the best players in the world then go ahead, but I’ll always be seeking out lesser known sites where the clueless players like to hang out!
- Software: If you want to be a big winner, then playing one table isn’t going to cut it. The way to make solid money in poker is to win a small amount on a table, but do it over lots and lots of tables. Not only do you earn money faster, but variance won’t hit you nearly as hard and when you’ve mastered multi-tabling you’ll shrug off bad beats like they never even happened
- Bonuses and Promotions: Beating the rake is tough. One way to make it a bit easier is to play at sites that effectively lower the rake by giving you deposit bonuses which are easy to clear and VIP systems that mean a lot of your monthly rake ends up in your pocket. You can get up to 40% of your rake back if you know here to look. (Don’t worry, I’ll help you!) In my site reviews I go through every sites bonus terms and conditions in minute detail so everything is laid out on the table for you to make a decision.
So, hopefully you’ll bookmark the site and check back often. The industry is one that changes fast and it seems like every month there’s a new online poker room opening up, or one closing down or some new innovation like mobile poker or Zoom poker or ‘run-it-twice’ popping up, so it’s definitely worth staying up to date with what’s happening.
